Bombers will rule if they are left uncontested by a strong fighter presence, pretty simple really.

true, but getting to cruiser often is easier in a bomber cuz planets dont run away.

Bombers have always been an interesting conversation point in the game.

When the playerbase was big, i dont think it was so much of an issue as there were plenty of fighters about and the bombers only really came into their own at a higher level because they dindt get any bonuses from shooting ships. (I think I remember it that way. I am going way back to the early betas (6-12 or so) ).

We are never going to find the right balance for them because everyone has a different opinion on them.

I dont think that removing bombing until Level 5 is practical or will work.

To make bombing more difficult and tricky means we need to recruit more players/get the old players back. Bigger legions = more fun.

Bring back the 100 players per team and blobs that are 30-40 ships!
