Joined with some others from the UK PCGamer forums. VoxDei, whykt, Silverhood and some others I can't remember right now (sorry!)

Eugh this is hard. I think I'll have to go for Chopper though.

No idea, never could remember beta numbers, pretty early on though.

2. Who was your first LC?
Probably Zypher, it always seemed to be Zypher, for the first 150 or so turns till the inevitable melt down though

3. Who was your favourite LC?
Zypher and Whykt and Boris... yeah, one those three

4. How did you find to the game?
Urgh, memory really not working, I used to do a flash game and was in a clan on that with Antslayer and he brought me across.

Comes back to Zypher for madcap antics and Whykt for calmly putting the pieces back together again afterwards.

I do. I didn't get much sleep in the early games. Now I get too much sleep that the sleep ticks and autopilot can't stop me from getting killed.

Yeah, but only vaguely

I'm not sure that was a feature still when I first started but my memory is way too hazy from far too many late nights staying up to make the last possible tick before turning in. LOVE the new auto-pilot system.

Don't think I ever changed from my beloved squiggles ~~

So many old classics but loving the newer ones too, hard to nail that to just one.

4c, I think. Pretty sure I missed 4b.

Max_Power. I did a minor know-all thing that resulted in him going rogue, so I was my second LC.

Legion I think. Beta 7 was just nuts.

Like Hachiman/Suicidesquad, came over from the PCG forums. I don't live there any more either.

Tough one. Maybe Stile? Or Ewokdude? Whoever it was who suggested Holly is a Bad Bad Person.

I started on honourable mentions but there's too many and I'll miss people. So I'll restrict myself to just those.

Eh, dunno. Maybe Shiid. Succinct and kept us all arguing about his/her sex for ages (I don't think I ever worked it out ).

Yes. That was way better back when I was an undergrad. Now I have a life I prefer things with sleep tick, though I still haven't really gotten used to the autopilot.

I invented them, IIRC. So yes.

Yes - that's why we put the scan towers in!

Not sure. I have tended to use "SPOOOOOON!" a lot to say hello again. Also always liked "Is that it?" in appropriate situations.

Most of mine suck (I'm no artist) and I can't remember/don't have copies of the ones that weren't mine.
...except on thinking about it I do have some because I've still got all the old UCS files. Anyone want any of those? Anyway, I'm going to go with the 525th Talons, because that squad was just crazy! Special mention to R13. Which I never joined because I very rarely went rogue, but still.
EDIT: Having re-found my UCS files I've been reading some of the old descriptions and accounts of betas. Might post them somewhere, for nostalgia's sake. Not tonight though.

I don't think I ever had as much fun as I did flying cloakers with Boris. Had a great time flying with Gunhild, Hapiface, and Josephine5 too. And WHY WOULD SOMEONE EVEN MENTION HOLLY?! I made a squad devoted to killing Holly (mostly out of boredom, after I had lost my starting legion) one Beta. Also the only person to ever directly cause me to go Rogue.

Actually, I always got a kick out of Hapiface's name. Mostly because she'd get so ticked off at me sometimes.

Actually, I MOSTLY remember playing without those...

Oh yeah. There was a fight between the Bors and Tibs in DH over a tower that still stands out as one of my favorites.

Yes. I fondly remember the speculation over who the enemy LC was. I unfondly remember getting mowed down trying to protect an inactive LC.

I know I used a bunch before, but the first that stuck that I remember was DREAM.

I have it somewhere, but can't find it. The 'growly' Boris came up with for the Bor cloaker squad in...whatever beta that was. I think someone else made it, but I just remember Mr. B sending it to me.
