[DONE] Comms to squad
[DONE] Comms to squad
Didn't we use to have a possibility to send a comm to all within the same squad? I think it would be a good feature to have

Re: Comms to squad
Oh yeah.. That would be nice.
Also, how come there are no squad numbers anymore?

Re: Comms to squad
I think it would be good if you didn't have to join a squadron in order to see where the people in it were. If the view members button showed the full squad page, but you stayed in your current squad.
Re: Comms to squad
What you're asking for Flint is the ability to see where all your legion are based which isn't really a squad thing. LCs / VCs already have tools for this and squads have a limited use of it. I'm not sure why any Navy would let its lowly pilots know where all their forces are deployed?!

Re: Comms to squad
It's just annoying if you're the only person in your squad, or are leader of your squad, then that disappears if you want to know where everyone else is.
If you join a squad, you're sort of committing to people being able to see where you are - the only time they can't is if you have a full squad, and then clearly 9 other people can see your location, and as you know lots of legions try to keep all squads at 9 members precisely because they want people to be able to check where everyone ensquaded is.
If you want to remain secret squirrel then dont join a squad, but otherwise, it's just more convenient not to have to jump through each squad in your legion to find out what's going on

Re: Comms to squad
It would be helpful if the Council could kick people from squads though
When you've got taking up space in a squad where a lone player could be a member it is a little annoying. (Sorry I know thats slightly different from what they are asking, but its along the lines there of)

Re: Comms to squad
IMO if you have to jump through each squad to figure out whats going on your LC/VC are doing a horrible job with orders and should be voted out. If your following orders you will be with the blob and thus know where pretty much everyone in your legion is already.Flint wrote:It's just annoying if you're the only person in your squad, or are leader of your squad, then that disappears if you want to know where everyone else is.

Re: Comms to squad
LC/VC don't usually post scans of your own team, but it is something that is useful to know - who's jumping where, who's getting damaged, all in a convenient place. LC/VR aren't always online when you want to know something, and it'd be 1 less job for them. It would be great.
Re: Comms to squad
@Demo: With LC_scans it can be difficult to find a particular player. If you know he is in your squad, it's often easier to check there
