You're familiar with the concept I take it, much like a facebook wall (only then for the legion as a whole instead of for members individually) it allows people to post short messages they would otherwise put in comm as -nt- messages.

Granted, it would split information over 3 channels instead of 2, but you could use the shoutbox for short notifications such as targeting or silly banter when there's no targets to be called.

Would a legion forum suit your needs? I'd like to get those back, as it's the best form for a long term convo to take.

Shoutboxes are uncontrollable and that is why they often get filled with abusive language sooner or later. Also, those who are not online will miss out on what was said, so this makes people need to stay on more. For these reasons, i'd rather not have a shoutbox in TVS.

comms are fine in TVS indeed. shoutboxes are more for games with nonstop activity (its war per example)
